Support front-line initiatives that provide access to sanitary products, break the silence on periods, and end period poverty.
We operate on community support. Individual donors and volunteers are the lifeblood of what we do every day.
We’re asking for donations so that we can continue to serve communities, expand our outreach, and potentially hire staff to manage our programs.
You can donate products at our location in Brampton or virtually pack kits via our wishlist below.
Whether it’s sewing reusable pads, distributing sanitary products at shelters, or connecting with young people in classrooms—we always need caring people. Come be a part of a truly impactful, and good-hearted, team.
Join us as we distribute period products to those who need them. Pack our kits and hand them out directly people in shelters, schools, and on the streets.
Sewing Reusable Pads
We are sewing reusable pads that we’ll distribute across Canada to those in need. In order to do this, we need support from sewists who can come together as a community to make comfortable pads.
Help us by dropping our period product kits to the porches of those in need, and passing fabric along to the volunteers who are working on our 5,000 reusables project.
Host a Workshop
Education is at the root of ending period poverty. No matter the age or makeup of the group—we’ve got workshops materials that can help end the stigma, and get your community involved.
Host a Drive
Host a product or donation drive in your community. Whether that’s your school, your office, or your place of worship—we thrive on the kindness of communities coming together to support women and girls in need.
“As a volunteer for ‘Help A Girl Out’, I learned a lot from my experiences and I grew as a person; from packing bags to doing outreach at various shelters. I’ve learnt a lot about the situations and struggles faced by the people there.Jess
Also the gratitude from the recipients of the care packages is always rewarding, especially knowing that you were able to make their day.
Being able to be a part of a movement that positively impacts others, is rewarding in its own way.”
“My volunteer experience with HAGO was exceptional and humbling. At the time, I was experiencing some hardships however, by volunteering I was able to put my own personal affairs aside and focus on women who needed help. The experiences educate me on an issue that is so easily overlooked. I was unaware that so many women, even here in Canada struggle to afford feminine hygiene products. I recommend volunteering at HAGO, the founder is an extraordinary woman who is doing extraordinary things.”Shunae
“Help A Girl Out is a really great cause. I really enjoyed working here with the other volunteers.Devin
Even as a non-menstruator, I really appreciate the opportunity to provide these essential products to women who need them.”
“Signing up as a volunteer for Help a Girl Out has changed my life for the better. The HAGO community is so kind and supportive and has allowed me the platform to advocate for something I am incredibly passionate about. I am forever grateful for this amazing organization and the impact it made in my life and the lives of many others..”Julia
